A. Good news! We do let you cancel if you move! Our relocation policy, as stated on the membership agreement and terms and conditions page:
“I understand if I move more than 25 miles from the closest At The Beach Tanning and my account is current, I can cancel for a onetime fee of $75. I also need to mail a copy of my new lease or mortgage agreement showing my new address, and a utility bill with my name and the new address. Please send the documentation and the check or money order by certified mail to the corporate office of:
At The Beach Tanning, 1603 W. Memorial Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73134.”
This policy has been approved the Colorado Attorney General’s office.
At The Beach understands that not everyone can provide a lease or mortgage, and not everyone has a utility bill in his or her name.
* If a customer is unable to provide a lease or mortgage, we will accept a copy of their driver’s license or state-issued ID with the new address on it.
* If a customer is unable to provide a utility bill in their name, we will accept two alternative proofs of address in the form of anything official that is mailed to the customer at the address listed on the lease or mortgage, or on the ID. Common proofs of address include bank or credit card statements (with the appropriate account information blacked out), cell phone bills, insurance statements, etc.
* PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept junk mail or items printed off the Internet.
* One last thing! Please remember to include your check or money order with your cancellation fee in the envelope!
A. This is your lucky day! At The Beach does have a 24-hour cancellation policy (or 72 hours if you purchased a fitness membership in one of our Just Ladies Fitness clubs). If this applies to you, then please contact Customer Care at 866-690-9080 or by email at info@atbtanning.com and they will give you further instructions about where to send your 24-hour cancellation request and what needs to be sent with that.
A. At The Beach does allow members on a 12-month or longer membership to freeze their plans for up to three months (per 12-month period). There is a onetime $10 freeze fee, and we give you $10 in Bonus Bucks when you resume tanning. Just visit your local At The Beach today to fill out the paperwork.
A. Okay Drac, if you do need to cancel your membership and a freeze won’t work, and the 24-hour and relocation cancels do not apply, then we really hate to see you go. The membership agreement and terms and conditions do offer an early cancellation option. Members can cancel at any time by paying a onetime buyout fee equal to 50 percent of their remaining balance or $150; whichever is the greater amount.
